Welcome to the Dimondstein Tribal Art page on the LATribal website. Dimondstein Tribal Arts was established in 1970 by Morton Dimondstein and in 1996 Joshua Dimondstein partnered with his father in the business.

Dimondstein Tribal Arts predominantly sells art from the African continent and in addition, sells high-quality tribal art from Indonesia, Oceania and Nepal. Our inventory includes masks, figures, textiles, beads, jewelry, utilitarian objects and furniture.

Pieces from our inventory have been included in numerous publications and exhibited in venues such as the Smithsonian Institutution, the Chicago Institute of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Fowler Museum and the Baltimore Museum.

We are open by appointment in Los Angeles and San Francisco, offer pieces on the internet and exhibit at yearly shows. On a regular basis we participate in the San Francisco Tribal and Textile Arts Show in February and the Parcours des Mondes in Paris in September.

We sell only authentic works of art; that is, objects that were made by indigenous people for their community and culture rather than for sale to outside markets. We adhere to the highest standards by guaranteeing authenticity of everything we sell and by working within a framework of honesty and integrity.

Dimondstein Tribal Arts is proud to be a founding member of LATribal. The organization serves to make Los Angeles a destination for tribal art collectors and ensures they find authentic, high-quality tribal art.
